cartoon investigatorResearching for your fiction or nonfiction writing requires organization. Some writers find researching to the most enjoyable part of  the writing process. I have a very simple recipe box and  three-inch by five-inch cards and “ABC” dividers. I put the name, author(S) date of publication, publisher, addresses: physical and website and any reference I made to the sources work. I also put where or on what project the research was–or will be used for.  There are various ways a writer researches his or her work. Only part of  the research may be from written publications. A writer may visit a geographical location or conduct an interview. Verify that your source is a reliable  and credible.

If anyone would like to share how they research, please do. Research has many methods and topics. I hope we have many participants.
